Galvanized steel pipe, simply put, is a steel pipe whose surface has been galvanized. This treatment significantly improves the pipe's corrosion and rust resistance, extending its service life.

Main Appearance and Characteristics:

Appearance: The surface is typically silvery-white with a metallic luster and snowflake-like or fish-scale-like crystalline patterns. This is characteristic of the zinc layer after cooling and solidification. After a period of use, it may turn dark gray due to oxidation.

Coating: There are two types: hot-dip galvanizing and electro-galvanizing (cold galvanizing). Hot-dip galvanized pipe is the most common, with a thick zinc layer, strong adhesion, and good corrosion resistance.

Weight: Slightly heavier than black pipe of the same specifications due to the added weight of the zinc layer.

Corrosion Resistance: The zinc layer effectively isolates the steel substrate from air and water corrosion. Even with minor damage to the zinc layer, zinc can protect the iron from corrosion through the cathodic protection of the "sacrificial anode."
