Productbeschrijving
Gegalvaniseerde stalen buis is een stalen buis waarvan het oppervlak is verzinkt. Deze behandeling verbetert de corrosie- en roestbestendigheid van de buis aanzienlijk, waardoor de levensduur wordt verlengd.
- Uiterlijk: Het oppervlak is doorgaans zilverwitte met metaalglans en vlokachtige of visschubachtige kristallijne patronen. Na gebruik kan het donkergrijs worden door oxidatie.
- Coating: Verkrijgbaar in thermisch verzinken en elektrolytisch verzinken (koud verzinken). Thermisch verzinkte buis is het meest voorkomend, met een dikke zinklaag, sterke hechting en uitstekende corrosiebestendigheid.
- Gewicht: Iets zwaarder dan zwarte buis van dezelfde specificaties vanwege het extra gewicht van de zinklaag.
- Corrosiebestendigheid: Zinklaag isoleert het stalen substraat effectief van lucht- en watercorrosie. Zelfs bij kleine beschadigingen beschermt zink ijzer door middel van kathodische bescherming.
