What is Tinplate?

 

Tinplate (SPTE), is tin plated on both sides of the iron sheet, that is, cold rolled low carbon thin steel plate, rust resistance, corrosion resistance, non-toxic. Mainly used for making metal packaging, including canned food, beverage, chemical, medicine, sanitation, coatings, paints, sprays, cosmetic caps and so on.

 

The main advantages of tinplate are:

 

  • Soft, easy to bend, stretch, punch.
  • It is lighter in weight than glass jars and not easily broken.
  • Easy to carry, transport and keep.
  • It has good thermal conductivity, short sterilization time, and is not easy to break when the temperature changes sharply.
