Product Description
Food-grade ETP tinplate for condensed milk cans. Designed for high sugar and dairy products with excellent corrosion resistance, coating compatibility, and sealing performance.
Condensed milk packaging requires materials that can withstand high sugar content, viscosity, and long shelf life conditions. ETP Tinplate (Electrolytic Tinplate) is widely used for this application due to its excellent barrier performance, mechanical strength, and compatibility with food-grade coatings.
We supply premium tinplate coil and sheet for condensed milk cans, engineered to ensure product safety, internal coating adhesion, and stable can-forming performance.
Typical specifications for dairy cans:
Thickness: 0.20–0.35 mm
Tin coating: 2.8/2.8 – 5.6/5.6 g/m²
These parameters help prevent corrosion while supporting reliable forming and sealing.

Engineering Note:
Higher coating weight is recommended for dairy applications to enhance corrosion resistance and product safety.
Condensed milk contains high sugar and proteins, which may accelerate corrosion if not properly protected. Tinplate provides a strong base, while internal lacquer ensures long-term stability.
ETP tinplate offers strong adhesion for internal coatings such as:
- Epoxy lacquer
- BPA-NI (BPA Non-Intent) coatings
This ensures safe separation between milk and metal.
- Suitable for deep drawing and can forming
- Stable seaming performance
- Leak-proof packaging for viscous products
- Non-toxic substrate
- Meets international food packaging standards
- Maintains product purity and taste

- Sweetened condensed milk cans
- Evaporated milk containers
- Cream and dairy-based products
- High-sugar food cans
- Nutritional products
- Can bodies
- Ends and lids
- Easy-open systems
