Aluminized zinc-coated steel sheet combines the advantages of both aluminized and galvanized steel:
Superior corrosion resistance: In most environments, its corrosion resistance is 2-4 times that of pure galvanized steel sheet of equivalent coating thickness (such as ASTM A653 G90). Aluminum provides excellent barrier protection and passivation properties, while zinc provides sacrificial anodic protection.
Excellent heat and oxidation resistance: It can withstand continuous operating temperatures up to 315°C (600°F) without losing its surface luster or protection like galvanized steel sheet. It can withstand even higher temperatures for short periods.
Heat reflectivity: The silver-gray surface has a high heat reflectivity (approximately 75%), contributing to building energy efficiency.
Economy: Although the unit price may be slightly higher, its long lifespan and excellent performance make its total life-cycle cost more competitive.
