ASAI 1005 cold-rolled stainless steel sheets are available in a wide range of thicknesses, catering to needs from ultra-thin precision products to general industrial sheet metal.
Common commercial thicknesses include:
- Thin Sheets: Typically refer to thicknesses between 0.3mm and 3.0mm. This is the most commonly used range, found in kitchenware, appliances, and decorative applications.
- Medium-Thick Sheets: Thicknesses can range from 3.0mm to 6.0mm or thicker (cold rolling processes are generally suitable for medium thicknesses).
Specific Common Specifications:
- Extra Thin Sheets: 0.3mm, 0.4mm, 0.5mm
- Common Thin Sheets: 0.6mm, 0.8mm, 1.0mm, 1.2mm, 1.5mm, 2.0mm, 2.5mm, 3.0mm

Features of cold-rolled steel sheets: smooth surface, high precision, uniform dimensions, and excellent finish (e.g., 2B, BA mirror, brushed finish), making them ideal for applications requiring aesthetic appeal or precision forming.
- Excellent corrosion resistance: Excellent resistance to common atmospheric substances, water, food media, and organic compounds.
- Good formability: Easy to stretch, bend, and stamp.
- Excellent weldability: Can be welded using various conventional methods.
- Non-magnetic: Virtually non-magnetic in the solution-treated state (may exhibit slight magnetism after cold working).
- High temperature resistance: Good heat resistance in oxidizing environments.
