High-quality carbon seamless steel pipes manufactured through hot-rolled processes, available in various materials including ST52, CK45, 4140, 16Mn, and stainless steel grades.
Manufacturing Processes
Hot-rolled (extruded) seamless steel pipe:
Process: Round billet → Heating → Piercing → Rolling/extruded → Sizing → Cooling → Straightening → Inspection
- High production efficiency with relatively low cost
- Wide size range for outer diameter and wall thickness
- Surface has oxide scale (typically black)
- Dimensional accuracy and surface finish are not as refined as cold-drawn pipe
Cold-drawn (rolled) seamless steel pipe:
Process: Hot-rolled pipe as billet → Pickling to remove oxide scale → Cold drawing or cold rolling → Heat treatment (stress relief) → Straightening → Inspection
- High dimensional accuracy and excellent surface finish
- Superior mechanical properties with higher strength
- Longer production cycle and higher cost
- Typically used for small diameter, thin-walled, and high-precision applications
