Passivated Anti Fingerprint Galvanized Steel Coils are finished with a chemical conversion coating that dramatically improves resistance to white rust and handling marks. Unprotected galvanized surfaces readily develop zinc oxide stains during humid storage, condensation cycles and long ocean voyages, and fingerprints left by operators become permanent blemishes after painting. Our passivation layer, available in chromate or chromium-free formulations, seals the zinc surface, resists moisture and blocks the electrochemical reactions that cause white rust. The optional anti-fingerprint treatment further reduces visible handling smudges, keeping coils clean and presentable after unpacking at the customer's factory.

Passivated and anti-fingerprint coils are popular for appliance housings, switch cabinets, decorative panels, prepainted steel production, filing cabinets and general sheet-metal fabrication where surface cleanliness is essential. Exporters and importers specifically request this finish for long-distance sea shipments, since it protects against the condensation and salt exposure that frequently ruin untreated coils in transit. Coils are wrapped in waterproof paper with an inner plastic sleeve, protected by PVC edge rings, strapped with galvanized steel bands and loaded onto wooden pallets or fixed inside the container with desiccant added for humid routes. The passivation type, coating mass and oil film are matched to the customer's storage time and climate. Before shipment, coating adhesion, passivation quality and surface cleanliness are inspected, and a Mill Test Certificate is issued.
