Product Description
Coastal High Zinc Coating Galvanized Steel Coils Z275 are engineered for the most aggressive corrosive environments, where standard zinc coatings fail within a few years. By applying a heavy zinc layer of 275 g/m2 and above on both sides, these hot-dipped GI coils deliver a service life that is two to four times longer than ordinary commercial coils. Each coil is produced on continuous hot-dip galvanizing lines under strict process control, ensuring that the sacrificial zinc layer remains firmly bonded to the steel substrate through coiling, transport and downstream fabrication. For exporters and fabricators serving marine, coastal and heavy-industry projects, these coils reduce long-term maintenance costs and protect reputations against premature rust complaints.
Key Features- Heavy Zinc Coating: 275 to 450 g/m2 (both sides) for extended corrosion resistance in high-humidity and salt-laden atmospheres.
- Outstanding Corrosion Resistance: The thick zinc layer acts as both a physical barrier and a sacrificial anode that protects exposed cut edges.
- True Hot-Dip Process: Molten zinc bath immersion with air-knife control guarantees uniform coating weight across the full coil length.
- Excellent Formability: Continuous annealing before galvanizing keeps the coating flexible enough for bending, profiling and lock forming.
- Custom Widths and Slit Edges: Coils can be supplied in mill edge or slit edge from 600 to 1500 mm to match roll-forming lines.
- Traceable Quality: Every batch ships with a Mill Test Certificate covering chemical composition, mechanical properties and coating mass.

In coastal and high-corrosion environments these coils are widely used for highway guardrails, marine container components, seaside roofing and cladding, offshore platform fittings, coastal solar mounting frames, agricultural greenhouses, HVAC ducting and outdoor electrical enclosures. Fabricators also rely on them for roll-formed profiles, cable trays, ventilation shafts and drainage channels where salt spray and persistent humidity would quickly destroy unpainted carbon steel. Because the zinc layer protects cut edges sacrificially, sheared and punched parts do not require immediate repainting, which shortens production cycles and lowers finishing costs for the end user.
Packaging & Quality AssuranceEach coil is wound tightly, wrapped in waterproof kraft paper, protected with a plastic inner sleeve, reinforced with PVC edge protectors, strapped with galvanized steel bands and placed on wooden pallets or loaded directly for container shipment. Desiccant may be added for long ocean voyages. Before dispatch, the zinc coating mass, coating adhesion, surface finish and mechanical properties are verified in our in-house laboratory, and a Mill Test Certificate is issued for full traceability. We offer customized passivation, anti-rust oiling and packing specifications so that the coils arrive at destination in prime, rust-free condition.
