Core Advantages: Excellent corrosion resistance (especially against pitting and crevice corrosion), superior machinability (smooth surface and high precision after cold rolling), good weldability, and non-magnetic (after solution treatment).
Key Chemical Composition: Low carbon (≤0.03%), high chromium (approx. 16-18%), high nickel (approx. 10-14%), with added molybdenum (2-3%). The low carbon content is the main difference between this and grade 316 stainless steel, effectively reducing carbide precipitation during welding and sensitization processes.
Typical Applications: Chemical and marine equipment (containers, pipelines), food and pharmaceutical industries, medical devices, high-end building decoration, and precision components for electronic products.
Thickness: Common range 0.3mm - 3.0mm (thinner or thicker can be customized).
Width: Common range 1000mm, 1219mm, 1500mm (standard cold-rolled width), slitting is also available upon request.
Roll Weight/Roll Inner Diameter: Roll weight varies greatly depending on thickness and width (e.g., 2-20 tons). Standard inner diameters are mostly 508mm (20 inches) or 610mm (24 inches).
Surface Finish: 2B (matte, most common), BA (glossy), No.4 (brushed), HL (hairline), etc. 8K mirror finish is also available.
