Productbeschrijving
Gegalvaniseerde stalen buis is een stalen buis waarvan het oppervlak is verzinkt. Deze behandeling verbetert de corrosie- en roestbestendigheid van de buis aanzienlijk, waardoor de levensduur wordt verlengd.
- Uiterlijk: Meestal zilverwitte met metaalglans en vlokachtige of visschubachtige kristallijne patronen. Kan na langdurig gebruik donkergrijs worden door oxidatie.
- Coating: Verkrijgbaar in thermisch verzinken en elektrolytisch verzinken (koud verzinken). Thermisch verzinkte buis heeft een dikke zinklaag, sterke hechting en uitstekende corrosiebestendigheid.
- Gewicht: Iets zwaarder dan zwarte buis van dezelfde specificaties vanwege het toegevoegde gewicht van de zinklaag.
- Corrosiebestendigheid: Zinklaag isoleert het stalen substraat effectief van corrosie door lucht en water. Biedt kathodische bescherming door middel van een "opofferingsanode" mechanisme.
