Tinplate (ETP) consists of sheets of steel coated electrolytically with a thin layer of tin. It combines the strength of steel with the non-corrosive, lustrous, and weldable properties of tin.
ETP may be Single Reduced (SR) or Double Reduced (DR) type and is available both in sheet and/or coil form. It is the preferred choice for packaging materials.

Tinplate (SPTE) refers to cold-rolled low-carbon steel sheets or strips coated with commercial pure tin on both sides. Tin mainly acts to prevent corrosion and rust. This material combines the strength and formability of steel with the corrosion resistance, solderability, and aesthetic appearance of tin.
Tinplate packaging offers excellent sealing, preservation, light-proofing, ruggedness, and unique metal decoration appeal. Its strong antioxidant properties, diverse styles, and exquisite printing make it popular for various packaging applications.

Tinplate is primarily used for packaging foodstuffs and beverages, but it is also used in containers for oils, grease, paints, polishes, chemicals and many other products. Aerosol containers and caps and closures are also made from ETP Tinplate.
Tinplate is cold-rolled low-carbon steel sheet coated with a thin layer of tin on both surfaces. It combines the strength of steel with the corrosion resistance and solderability of tin.
Tinplate is corrosion-resistant, but under extreme conditions (prolonged exposure to moisture, acids, or salt spray), rust may occur.
Our anti-rust measures include:
For applications requiring superior corrosion resistance, we also offer tin-free steel (TFS).
Yes to both.
