Zinc Coated Hot Dipped Ral Galvanized Coil available in Regular Spangle and Little Spangle variations to meet diverse application requirements.
Formed naturally by the solidification of molten zinc, with a distinct crystalline pattern.
Developed through special treatment to inhibit spangle growth, resulting in a more uniform surface.
Rolled on a finishing machine, resulting in a mirror-like smooth surface, ideal for color coating.
Surface is a uniform dark gray zinc-iron alloy layer.
Based on coating weight (unit: g/m², total for both sides):
Common standards: Z60, Z80, Z120, Z180, Z275, etc. (The numbers represent the grams of coating per square meter). The higher the number, the thicker the coating, the stronger the corrosion resistance, and the higher the price.
The cost of hot-dip galvanizing and rust prevention is lower than that of other paint coatings.
Each part of the plated components can be coated with zinc, even in recesses, sharp corners and hidden places can be protected comprehensively.
The hot-dip galvanized layer can be tested visually and with a simple non-destructive coating thickness gauge.
| Galvanized steel coil products are mainly used in construction, light industry, automobile, agriculture, animal husbandry, fishery and other industries. Such as building roofs, highway guardrails, sheet metal processing, roof grilles, household appliance enclosures, ventilation ducts, chimneys, kitchen utensils, grain storage and transportation, frozen processing of meat and aquatic products, etc. |
Product packaging can be customized according to customer requirements and factory standards.
Zinc coating weight (also called zinc mass) is measured in g/m² (both sides total). It determines the corrosion resistance lifespan of the steel.
| Grade | Coating Mass (g/m²) | Typical Application |
|---|---|---|
| Z40-Z80 | 40-80 | Indoor use, light protection |
| Z100-Z140 | 100-140 | General construction, roofing |
| Z180-Z275 | 180-275 | Heavy industry, structural components |
| Z350-Z450 | 350-450 | Coastal areas, high-corrosion environments |
Note: Higher coating weight = longer service life = higher cost. We recommend selecting based on your actual environmental conditions.
Our galvanized steel coils comply with major international standards:
All products come with Mill Test Certificates (MTC) that can be provided upon shipment.
Spangle refers to the visible crystal patterns on the surface of galvanized steel, formed during the solidification of the zinc coating.
| Type | Description | Best Applications |
|---|---|---|
| Regular Spangle | Visible snowflake-like crystals | Applications where appearance is not critical; prepainted base |
| Zero Spangle (Minimal Spangle) | Smooth, uniform surface with no visible crystals | Painting applications, prepainted steel, automotive parts, where surface smoothness matters |
Recommendation: If you plan to paint directly on the surface, zero spangle is strongly recommended for better paint adhesion.
While galvanized steel offers excellent corrosion protection, white rust (zinc oxide) can occur under certain conditions:
