Product Description

Galvanized rectangular tubes are rectangular cross-section metal pipes made from low-carbon steel (Q195, Q235B, Q345B, etc.) as the base material. They are formed by cold rolling/hot rolling, high-frequency welding, and then processed by hot-dip galvanizing or cold galvanizing. The core advantage is that it perfectly combines the torsional and bending stability of the rectangular cross-section with the super corrosion resistance of the galvanized layer. It not only solves the problem of ordinary black iron rectangular tubes being prone to rusting, but can also replace some angle steel and channel steel. The lightweight design makes it easier to install and construct. - Select process by environment: Hot-dip galvanizing is essential for outdoor, humid, and buried scenarios; cold galvanizing (lower cost) is optional for indoor dry and low-corrosion scenarios; for highly corrosive environments such as coastal areas and chemical industrial zones, a thicker zinc layer (≥85μm) or aluminized zinc plating is recommended.

- Select material and wall thickness by load: For purely decorative and low-load scenarios (such as decorative frames), choose Q195 with thin walls (1.5-2mm); for conventional building and municipal support scenarios (such as railings and brackets), choose Q235B with medium-thick walls (2.5-4mm); for heavy-load and dynamic-load scenarios (such as factory columns and lifting equipment), choose Q345B with thick walls (≥4mm). - Avoid mistakes according to the application: It cannot be used for high-pressure fluid transportation (such as high-rise water supply and steam transportation). Seamless galvanized round pipes should be selected for such scenarios.
